Frequently asked travel advice
When should I begin planning my pet's relocation?
We recommend contacting us the moment you begin considering a move. While straightforward European and UK journeys can be organized within 4 to 8 weeks, countries with strict rabies titer protocols (such as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, or South Africa) require 6 to 7 months of mandatory blood test waiting periods.
What is UK Transfer of Residence (ToR1) and why is it important?
If you are relocating your main home to the United Kingdom, applying for Transfer of Residence relief (ToR1) with HMRC waives customs duty and 20% import VAT on your personal pets. We guide you through the online application so your official approval code is attached to the airline Air Waybill.
Can snub-nosed (brachycephalic) breeds travel safely?
Snub-nosed breeds (such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, British Bulldogs, and Persian cats) are more vulnerable to respiratory strain and temperature fluctuations. Many airlines prohibit them or enforce strict summer embargoes. We evaluate your pet’s respiratory health, recommend specialized larger crates with 4-way ventilation, and select cool seasonal flight windows.
What should I feed my pet on the day of travel?
Offer a light, easily digestible meal approximately 4 to 6 hours before departure, and remove solid food thereafter to prevent motion sickness during flight. Fresh water should be provided continuously up until airport cargo check-in. Our team attaches spill-proof funnels to the crate so airline handlers can refill water without opening the crate door.
