Passports, permits and certificates, handled from application to approval.
Every country enforces its own pet import regulations. We audit requirements, liaise with government veterinary authorities in Cyprus, and prepare complete legal travel dossiers.
Navigating international animal transit paperwork is notoriously complex. From DEFRA export declarations and EU Pet Passports to official Cyprus District Veterinary stamps and RNATT rabies blood titers, a single missing date or incorrect signature can stop a journey before it starts. Annie’s Animal Ark monitors every regulatory deadline so your pet clears customs smoothly and without delay.

Frequently asked about travel documents
What documents does my pet need to travel from Cyprus to the UK?
For entry into Great Britain, your pet requires an ISO 11784/11785 compliant microchip, a valid rabies vaccination administered at least 21 days prior to travel, an official DEFRA export health certificate or valid EU Pet Passport issued in the EU, and a veterinary tapeworm (Echinococcus) treatment administered between 24 and 120 hours before scheduled arrival.
How far in advance should we begin preparing paperwork?
For European Union and UK journeys, we recommend starting 1 to 3 months in advance to ensure vaccination intervals and certificate appointments are seamlessly aligned. For rabies-free destinations requiring blood titer testing (such as Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa), preparation must begin 6 to 7 months before departure.
What happens if an export health certificate expires before departure?
Official third-country export certificates are strictly valid for 10 days from the date of government veterinary endorsement. We carefully schedule clinical appointments and state vet visits as close to flight day as regulations permit to safeguard against flight reschedules.
Who coordinates with the Cyprus District Veterinary Services?
Our team handles this directly. We prepare the complete case file, book government appointments, and present your pet and paperwork at the District Veterinary offices in Paphos, Limassol, or Larnaca for official export validation.
